MEASUREMENT: Unit 4 provides 17 days of learning in which the child learns more about measurement by exploring concepts with non-standard units. The child relates a unit of measure to the number of non-standard units needed to measure length and mass (weight). He or she compares and orders objects by length, height, distance around and mass (weight). She or he measures objects to the nearest non-standard unit using both single and multiple copies of a unit. Also included is using a calendar to solve problems.
