Drama: Film and Television 11 provides an opportunity for students to develop the knowledge, skills and attitudes they need to respond to and create film and television works. The course introduces — Preproduction, Production, and Postproduction stages of video production and provides guidance for the course's main project assignment, a short video production. Completion of this course satisfies the graduation requirements for Fine Arts in Foundation Studies. This course will require students to have access to a video cassette recorder, a video camera, a traditional still-photography camera, a tripod and an audio tape recorder.

Public Performance Rights
Teachers wishing to use Drama: Film and Television 11 as a personal teaching resource must be aware that Open School has not acquired public performance rights for the ten video productions in the course. They are intended only for viewing by individual students or teachers. However, all of the concepts illustrated in the videos may be found in other film and television productions. Teachers who wish to teach the course to a class of students are advised to utilize videos for which their school districts already have public performance rights (such as those in school libraries). It is the responsibility of the teacher to ensure that the appropriate rights have been obtained by the school district, prior to using any of these films in a classroom setting. No public performance rights are required if viewed by an individual.
