Shape, rhythm, descriptive language, and rhyme are all parts of poetry that help to paint vivid pictures in the readers mind. In Let's Write Poetry, your child will have the opportunity to read and appreciate good poetry and then write his or her own poems. Your child will also learn about a variety of poetic devices and will be introduced to the parts of speech: adjectives, adverbs, and verbs. Formal spelling, handwriting, and keyboarding lessons continue throughout the module and your child will also continue to work on recorder lessons.
